Day 12: L is for Lovely

L(What is this? Here’s a quick explanation of More to Love: A to Z, 26 Days of Alphabetic Inspiration.)

There are so many great adjectives beginning with the letter L: lovely, lively, luscious, lucky, little…  the list is long.  However, the two words that I find most inspiring are both nouns, and both seem a little mysterious.

L is for Lace

Lace

Do you like lace?  I find that it can go either way – too much and it feels like you’ve wrapped yourself in your grandmother’s table cloth.  However, the right amount can create such interest on a garment.  It’s not a trim that I use very often, but every time I pick up an Anthropologie catalog, I think that might be an error on my part.  I might need more lace in my life.

I definitely need more of this next one.

L is for Leprechauns

Rainbows, clovers, pots of gold, shiny shoes.  Plus it’s just fun to say: leprechaun.  You can hardly say it without a little lilt in your voice.

This leprechaun below is from The Small Object, and was one of the most thoughtful gifts I have ever received.

I know leprechauns are often relegated to St. Patrick’s day only, and they are often depicted as beer-drinking red-headed mischief makers.  However, I like to have a little bit of clover-magic out on my desk year round.  Just in case they’d like to leave me some leprechaun gold.

Any other L’s you love?
