Storybook Lane is a village where all of our favorite fairy tale characters are next door neighbors. It began with one idea: How cool would it be if you could sew your own village and the houses opened up?!
The fabric collection features 18 prints in two colorways.
City Girl is where it all started. I began with“my colors,” my favorite jewel tones to wear: a deep berry, midnight blue, and teal mixed in with some silvery gray, minty green, and plenty of pink.
Orange Grove rounds out the rainbow with lots of fresh greens, pale, buttery yellow, sky blue, and lavender. In my world, teal is a neutral and goes with everything (sort of like your favorite pair of jeans).
The color theme here is “plays well with others.” All of the fabrics are ready to mix and match.
The prints are named: Floral Meadow, Good Girls, Drama Queens, Cottage Lane, Cuckoo Clocks, Curvy Stripe, and 3-in-1. Did you spot the 3-in-1 print? It should probably be called the 5-in-1! I wanted you to be able to have plenty of coordinates for your village so with each cut of fabric, you get ginghams, dots, and a fun stripe! (This fabric also makes wonderful binding for quilts and other projects.)
The heart of the collection and what makes this really special are the two fabric panels which blend well with both colorways.
Each panel includes all of the pieces to make 2 houses and plenty of dolls (or finger puppets!) to populate your village. Each panels also has 3 quilt blocks that help tell the story (and make for an adorable play quilt or soft book). For information on Ever Kelly sewing patterns, please see here.
