Storybook Lane (free) Fabric Give Away!

SL_strikeoffs_3up

WHEW! Thanks so much for following along on our Storybook Lane tour (part 1, part 2, and part 3) and for all of your encouraging, generous comments. Now, to cap this all off I think we need a contest!

I am giving away some free fabric.  Win an entire stack of fat quarters (that’s all 18 prints)  All you need to do is leave a comment and tell me who your favorite Storybook Lane character is.  I will randomly pick one lucky winner on April 1st at Midnight PST.  The winner will receive their prize when Storybook Lane fabric ships (in May).

(Please note: if you are my sister or best friend, you are automatically disqualified.)

I can’t wait to see what you all do with all of this fabric!

In the meantime, I wanted to include a personal note from me: I am busy finalizing patterns, getting my print orders organized and ready, and spending a lot of time talking booth construction with my Dad. This is definitely the part that I was envisioning all those years ago when I started down this path.

Each time I hit a new rung on the ladder though, I find I want to share more of the blood, sweat, and tears that came first, because I think sometimes it’s helpful to hear that part. Some of us need to know that it isn’t all easy or fast. Sometimes, it’s just chipping away steadily for a long time – often so slowly, you can’t really see any progress.

People ask: “How long are you going to keep doing that?”  It must be so painful for them to watch.  But with hard work and grace, you look up and see that you did make it.   Keep chipping.  Don’t give up.

Lots of love,
Kelly

    * Gee! This is my first comment for a post like this… Could I move into Storybook Lane, please :)? *

My favorite character has got to be Little Red. Especially for the love she has for her grandmother and all living creatures and the courage to keep the big bad Wolf in conversation as she’s busy working a plan (in her mind) to rescue her grandma and escape!!

    Good luck, Kelly! :-)

  2. Definitely Alice! Wow, I love this line so much, thanks for this! And thankyou dor designing it!

  3. Little Red is my favorite! And how fun to be able to work with your dad! Congrats on your hard work so far!!!!!

  4. Of course Alice!! ;)

Oh they are all so cute:) If I must pick a favorite though it would be Little Red, she is sweet and my Grandpa always called me Big Red when I was growing up and her name reminds me of that and makes me smile.

  6. Again, couldn’t be happier for you dearie! So my fav character is YOU!

  7. Ooh, I think my favorite is goldilocks. I’ve always loved telling her story with voices and still tell it to my son.

  8. I am so incredibly excited about this collection! Having two little girls, I’m all over it! I love your Alice. Thanks for a chance to enter.

PS don’t you live in Seattle? I’m local, if you ever need help with QM sample sewing!

From the ones we met, I think Gretel is my favorite, I like her color and candy. I’ve seen others in the backround that are really cute though.
That ladder is supposed to be long and hard, that’s how they weed out the people who don’t want it enough. When you reach the top it’s so much sweeter.

  11. I like Little Red best.

Of the ones you have introduced I would have to say Alice. However, I love the rabbit and the knight so much. I am really looking forward to this fabric being released. Is May the date for Australia too?? Not sure I can wait much longer than that.
Congratulations once again for the wonderful fabric range and the amazing blog posts about it.

  13. Pam told me about your fabric and new line of characters and houses. I just love them and can’t wait to get my hands on them. Little Red is my favorite, of course. They are all cute but who doesn’t love Little Red the best! Cute stuff, all of it. Your wolf is amazing.

  14. Kelly, your new line looks adorable! Awesome tour. If I had to pick a favorite, I’d have to pick Goldie. Why? Well, because of her colorful patchwork quilt, of course!! Big congrats and best of luck to you as you embark on your new adventure.

  16. The little gingerbread boy of course ;-)

I love Goldilocks! But I must say the Queen of Hearts looks pretty cool, too! I would also be willing to test any fabrics at the extreme novice level (buttons not withstanding).

  18. I think I’m going to choose Gretel for my favorite, but that’s a bit random since they all look so freaking adorable! All I can think is how much fun my boys will have interacting with creations from this fabric. You did a fabulous job!

  19. I like all of them but my favorites are Mama Bear, Baby Bear and the Big Bad Wolf! So adorable!

  20. This is such a cute line! My favorite has to be Goldilocks although they are all adorable! So cute! Congratulations…..how exciting for you!

  21. Goldilocks is the cutest and Mama Bear is a close second for me since I consider myself a Mama Bear.

  22. Storybook Lane is absolutely adorable! I happen to love Little Red the best but they are each so unique and fun! Congrats to you!!

  23. Is that rapunzel in one of the panels? I love her. :)

I think that my favourite is Gretel but it’s hard to choose! Thanks for the giveaway.

  30. I think it’s a toss up between Alice & Little Red, but your whole fairy tale land looks like so much fun. I’m especially excited about the cuckoo clocks! :D

These are adorable and I can’t wait to make some little houses for my daughter. It’s hard to choose, but I think my favorite is Gretel and her candy cottage. What wonderful ideas you have!!

Lovely, creative, fun fabrics, and I love that you mix all the characters up together. My favorite is Little Red, mostly because I have my own “Little Red”. Thanks for designing such a beautiful line.
