Ponyo

I am so excited to finally see Ponyo.  The DVD just arrived from Netflix.  The trailers look so outrageous and beautiful and weird all at the same time.  I think that’s what I love about the Studio Ghibli films.  At first glance, your reaction is “what is that?!”  and then after you see the film, all of those odd characters become a part of your extended family.  I’m not sure this even makes sense.  I guess we’ll just have to watch it and find out.  I look forward to being whisked away somewhere else for a little while.  (Maybe somewhere aquatic by the looks of it.)
