Sunset

Sunset1

Today was one of those days, where you look up at the clock and think how very late it is.  Then you survey your desk and are almost surprised by the amount of things you finished.  Ok, if you’re feeling irritated and disagreeing with me – maybe it was not one of those days for you, let me just say that yesterday was the complete opposite.  I got to the end of the day and felt like a total failure, so believe me – I know both ends of this spectrum.

However, today was good.  I decided at 5pm to take out the recycling, and there in the basement garage I looked up through the gate and saw that the sky was pinkish-lavender.  I had been inside for so long, that I had a little moment where it was as if I had forgotten that the sun did that.  I went upstairs and down the sidewalk watching the sky turn deeper shades of orange and dark orange and impossibly dark orange and red and then finally, gray.

I don’t know about you, but I spend a lot of time hoping to be inspired and it is a walk outside every time that does it.  (You would think I could remember this.)

Outside

I am craving a little more structure in my life, and here on this blog, too.  So I’ve come up with a little project to help me re-focus.  I’ll be back tomorrow to share.

Things to remember from today: when all else fails, go outside.
