Day 3: C is for Cute

CReady for More to Love: A to Z, 26 Days of Alphabetic Inspiration?  Today brings us to the letter C.

Alas, today “C” stands for Carpal Tunnel.  I’m going to keep this post lighter on words so I can get off the “C” for Computer and rest my wrist.

C is for Cross Stitch

CrossStitch

Do you want to know a little secret?  I think all the best cross stitch books are French.

In the library, I once stumbled across a book called “Fill the House with Cross Stitch.”  Can you imagine a scarier book for your husband to find on your desk?  Maybe you have a nice, indulgent man who doesn’t mind your cross stitch projects filling up the house.  However, I’m fairly certain that mine would have a minor heart attack at the thought of such a conspiracy going on behind his back.

Cross stitch is a lot like filling in the pages of a coloring book.  However, all those tiny little X’s can create something quite magical at the end.

Some of my favorite books from this little shop:

One day, I plan to pick all of my favorite motifs and create my own sampler.  However, don’t you dare tell my husband.

C is for Cravings

Cravings

Chocolate, cinnamon, cloves, cookies, cupcakes… all begin with the letter C.  It’s amazing to me how much these tastes and smells can speak to us both in and out of the kitchen.  Is it any wonder that so many people enjoy crafting tiny cupcakes and other sweets that look good enough to eat?

On that note, may the rest of your day be filled with Clarity, Confidence, Creativity, Charm, Calm, and Cheer.  Perhaps a little bit of Christmas and a few Cats thrown in there, too.  Wishing there was more?  How about a trip to Cute Overload?

Until tomorrow…

Hi Marga! I love those crowns too. They are from a French book “Répertoire des Motifs” by Valérie Lejeune. The ISBN number is 2-84270-378-2.
