Pumpkins

Pumpkin

Yesterday, I stitched up this yummy, chocolatey brown pumpkin.  If you’ve been dreaming of velvet pumpkins like I have been, might I suggest using corduroy?  I think it makes a wonderful substitution — easier to find and easier on the wallet.

I had my heart set on using a real pumpkin stem, but the grocery stores have really been letting me down on that front.  Don’t they realize we still need pumpkins for some of our Thanksgiving dishes and decorations?

I was doing the pumpkin pout, and then found this shimmery reddish-green ribbon in  my stash.  It turned out to be the perfect shade for a pumpkin stem.
