Mondays

Goat

Does anyone else need to hear something nice at the end of a crazy Monday?

I ran a zillion errands today and still have a few things that just didn’t get crossed off the list.  I need some ice cream.  Or maybe a stiff drink.  Or maybe both.  But probably should eat dinner first.  We’ll see how that goes.

Ok, here are our uplifting words from Mr. Ralph Waldo Emerson.  It’s a bit long, but really really nice and worth reading (I think):

Finish every day and be done with it.  You have done what you could.  Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in.  Forget them as soon as you can.  Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense.  This day is all that is good and fair.  It is too dear, with its hopes and invitations, to waste a moment on yesterdays.

There.  Done and done.  Hope this helps you too.

P.S. – I know that picture of the goat is weird, but sometimes a Monday like this will leave you with very few options.
