Cookie Magnets

CookieMagnet

My cookie kick continues!  This time I’m working on some felt cookie magnets.  Both the macaroon and gingerbread man are from a Japanese craft kit I bought at the show in Houston.  These magnets are tiny!  The gingerbread man is about an inch and a half wide, so I skipped the blanket stitching and used a whip stitch instead.

Sunfelt really knows how to design these kits.  Even though the instructions were a little odd at times (it took me a while to figure out that the mysterious “green threads” they were referring to actually meant “lose ends”), all of the materials are very well organized.

I have just one more cookie to sew up: the chocolate cookie with nuts (see it down there?).  The only downside is that writing about these cookies is making me hungry.

If you want to try out one of these kits, it looks like Superbuzzy has some of these in stock along with some other yummy versions.  Mmmm….

Ah, thanks! You could definitely make a very cute gingerbread man without the kit. The kit includes pre-punched cardboard, batting, and felt pieces so it’s all ready to assemble. However, if you made your own, it would have a ton of personality. :-)
