Quilt Market Recap: Japanese Cute

I can’t stop before I cover what just might be my favorite part of the whole entire show — the Japanese goodies.  My family has learned what a sucker I am for Japanese fabrics, craft magazines, and kits.  I’m not saying they understand, but they are aware of it.  However, it’s rare to see so much of this stuff all in one place.  Usually, I’m trying to hunt something down that I’ve seen on some random web-site (and probably not in English).

Well, it is no coincidence that while checking out the new Echino fabrics I finally got to meet Kelly of Superbuzzy and Kim of True Up.  I think I came off as a little bit intense (sorry!), but I was suffering from over-stimulation by that point.  I’ll just let these photos speak for themselves.  My fellow fabric lovers will understand.  (Right?)

These dolls really wind up!  I brought home the girl in blue, but I secretly need the eskimo.

Do you see the girl in the purple beret who is out of focus in the bottom right hand corner?  Yep, she’s behind the Echino magic.  I hope some rubbed of on me while I was standing there.
