Well, I didn’t plan to be quite so scarce this week, but I’m having a lot of wrist pain and have needed to stay off the computer as much as possible. This isn’t exactly ideal since I have lots of color correction and portfolio assembling to do before next week. I’m not entirely sure why carpal tunnel seems to be showing up now, but I think it’s a combination of my tiny paintbrush and less than ergonomic workspace. C’est la vie!
I’m really happy with the way all the work is coming together, and that is lifting my spirits. Today I’m off to get a hair cut and run some pre-trip errands. Anytime I’m working on a project, the big day will arrive and I will look around and realize that the project turned out great but I look like I’ve slept under a rock for a week. This time, I was smart and booked this hair appointment before things really got crazy.
Last night I finished Martha Stewart’s business book called The Martha Rules. Somehow I missed this book when it first came out, but it is well worth the read for anyone who is a fan of Martha or simply interested in entrepreneurship. She drafted this book while in prison, and it has a beautiful sincerity about it which caught me by surprise.
I copied this passage down to refer to later: “When faced with a business challenge, evaluate or assess the situation, gather the good things in sight, abandon the bad, clear your mind, and move on. Focus on the positive. Stay in control, and never panic.“ I love how she goes on to say that it is ok to overreact, just not panic.
Well, this is not the post I thought I’d write today, but it just sort of spilled out there. I have one small craft project to share this week which I will post about soon. Word of warning: it’s a little bit silly (see above).

Care to comment? Go for it. Be bold. Do it! But niceness counts, right?
I’m going to have to read that book. Sounds positive! And the above post– love it! And the little statue- I feel like that so often! It made me smile :D
