Happy Halloween!

I hope everyone has a very safe and happy Halloween.  May you eat tons of candy and never grow sick (or pudgy).  May your costume crises be solved as if by magic.  May you stay up late and enjoy your extra hour of sleep this weekend!

As for us, we’ll be playing it all by ear this time around.  I ate all of the candy I bought for the trick-or-treaters, so now I need to go get more.  Oops.  Guess I should buy something I don’t like this time.  If you saw my tweet, you’ll know that I also should buy a roast to go with dinner.

I will be honest: I have not had my fill of pumpkins and Halloween decorations yet.  I didn’t even make it to a pumpkin patch.  However, instead of being sad about it, I’m just going to use as many pumpkins as possible for Thanksgiving so I can keep them all around a little longer.  I think I may need to make some of these pancakes tomorrow for breakfast (via Not Martha) just to console myself.

My costume needs a few alterations, but it’s 99% ready to go.  My more ambitious husband has some work to do on his so that will be interesting.  We shall see…

Hope you all have a great weekend!

  1. oooh! I have a little witch pancake mold and I’m going to try making these with that mold! Sounds delicious- I’ll let you know how it goes :D

  2. wow- I made these this morning! They were sooooo good! What’s surprising was how fluffy the inside of the pancake was. I love these. I might add more spices because I’m a spice addict but these are now a tradition in our family! Thanks for a great recipe! :D
